Meet the Designer
I am an award-winning New Zealand fashion designer and community leader, working under my couture label Rakshi’s Design (named in honour of my mother). My work combines storytelling, cultural heritage, and high-fashion craftsmanship, often inspired by my own journey from Kuwait and India to New Zealand. Alongside fashion, I serve as a Local Board Member for Pōkeno (Waikato District Council), where I am committed to empowering communities and supporting local arts and culture.

Absolutely. We warmly welcome your inspiration, whether it's a fabric you love, a
design concept you've been imagining, or reference images you've collected. Our
designer will guide you on how best to bring your vision to life through a bespoke
creation that feels entirely yours.
We focus primarily on our own couture creations to ensure the highest standard of
craftsmanship. For alterations enquiries, please reach out via our contact form and
we will let you know how we may be able to assist on a case-by-case basis.
Pricing varies based on design complexity, fabric choice, and embellishment details.
Custom gowns generally start from $2,500 NZD, with a full quote provided following
your initial consultation.
